The new fee structure introduces a flat 6% fee for listings sold for less than $120, making it one of the most competitive rates in the industry. Sellers of items priced at $120 or above will continue to earn the same amount they did previously. This change means that sellers can now pocket up to 94% of the listing price for sales under $119.99, a significant boost from the previous maximum of 85%.
Transitioning to the new fee structure is a breeze – all current listings will automatically switch over, so sellers don’t have to worry about adjusting prices. The redesign of the Buy Now marketplace focuses on improving the visibility of cards, streamlining listing processes, and simplifying fees, all based on input from collectors and sellers. By eliminating the 20% buyer’s premium and bonus commission, sellers are encouraged to price their listings more competitively, offering buyers a wider range of options.
To ensure fairness, listings priced more than 20% above the fair market value will be subject to a 15% seller’s fee instead of the standard 6%. The removal of the $3 minimum fee for Buy Now sales allows sellers to list items for as little as 50 cents, making it easier to showcase a variety of items.
